I was commissioned to propose 2 different Events Posters for Devex’s main Event at the 79th United Nation’s General Assembly, as well as a second design for their Ecosystem Events. In total, four designs were presented that embodied the global outreach and scope of the event while also incorporating the 17 United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.
IDEA 1
The concept for this design comes from interlacing the world map with the Sustainable Development Goals. Using negative space juxtaposed with the colorful goals and the delicate lines of the world map, the emotion that is emitted is of synergy. The SDGs become the building blocks for a united future.
IDEA 2
From the previous idea, I decided to blend all of the 17 SDG colors creating a warping effect – symbolizing the past, the present and a path to our future. A similar design is used for the Devex Ecosystem Events. Here, a shape is added in the color of the SDG the topic represents in order to create an identity per topic for all events.
